ELR stands for Emergency Leave Reserve.
Employees hired prior to July 1, 2008 may have Emergency Leave Reserve (ELR) hours available
under a previous leave plan. Previously earned ELR may be used for a serious medical hardship,
catastrophic illness or crisis, such as maternity leave, FMLA, medical leave, or a natural or man-
made disaster. ELR may only be used once all PTO has been depleted. Employees who wish to
utilize ELR must contact their executive director or designee. ELR usage must be noted on the employee's time card.
ELR will not be paid out at termination.
